North Idaho Classics was inducted into the Idaho Hot Rod Hall of Fame for 2024. The club is one of the oldest in north Idaho -- over 40 years. They were best known for starting Car d'Alene and the River City Rod Runs. They are also well known for their community service, with donations totalling close to $200,000 through the years. Currently the NIC is the host for the Hayden Days car show.

Dan Drapeau received the Idaho Hot Rodder of the Year from the Idaho Hot Rod Hall of Fame. Dan is a founding member of North Idaho Classics and has served as a board member most years. He and his wife Dorothy are always volunteering at club events. Dan represents the heart and soul of hot rodding in the panhandle. Not many of these guys are around anymore -- the ones that had the dream to keep the love of old cars alive. Dan is always the first person to welcome a new member to the club, help out an old one and tell tales of how it used to be. Congratulations, Dan!
